2. Jolene from Jo's Jumbled Jardiniere. I know you're super busy XD please only do this at your leisure! And I've seen your handwriting before (the little lyrics you copied :D) but I think it's fun to tag you anyway XD

I'd like to end my post by posting the songs I mentioned in my tag :)

Cruz, by Christina Aguilera

This song speaks for me lately ^__^ I can never get over her powerful vocals and her mad singing talent/skills... lol.

I love the live performance for this song as well ><

Bound to You, again by Christina Aguilera

This track is from her movie, Burlesque, which I love XD

I am AWARE of how she totally messed up the national anthem... and I was beyond horrified. But that doesn't change the fact she's an amazing and skilled singer. =D

That's all I have for you guys! Hope you guys didn't find this too boring XD Night everyone ^__^

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation Review

Hello guys ^__^

I'm back again with another foundation review (you guys tired of them yet? XD) Thanks for everyone who gave me feedback about the accessories ^___^ I think I will still throw in a couple, but I will be mostly focusing on makeup since like Jo so accurately pointed out about allergy/sensitivity problems...  I probably won't carry high-end/expensive accessories in case none of you want to buy them XD (haha but I really want to sell Anna Sui accessories O_O I don't own any but they are friggin GORGEOUS)

So today's topic will be MAC! Next up we'll have Bobbi Brown =P Honestly these foundation samples I got this time are all pretty good, but I'm going to hold off buying foundation until I get to Taiwan, cuz I really really REALLY want to try Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Liquid Foundation/ Compact foundation >__< And I heard good things about Paul & Joe (expensive though) and I've been wanting to try Anna Sui and Jill Stuart... okay I'm gonna stop =_= But hopefully I will settle down with a foundation soon XD

Enough of my rambling, let's get into the review =D

MAN701
Volume: 1.3 oz.
Price: $29.50 (the most inexpensive foundation I've tried by far XD)

SAM_4604
On MAC website it says it's a gel-based foundation but I really don't think it feels like gel. It's a very interesting texture... definitely not fluid. Not really sure how to describe it lol

SAM_4606

SAM_4607
top: NC20, bottom: NC25

SAM_4613 (1)
I'm usually matched for NC25, but I find that for this particular foundation, NC20 matches me better; NC25 is slightly orange.

SAM_4613

SAM_4616

SAM_4618

My thoughts:
- Texture is interesting. Reminds me of Giorgio Armani's Face Fabric Foundation
- Medium coverage
- Definitely use fingers to warm up and apply this foundation. If you want to use a brush I suggest using a dense brush (however since this foundation's consistency is not runny I found that the brush eats up most of the product...)
- The consistency of this foundation is slightly more viscous/thicker compared to fluid foundations. It's not hard to blend at all, but definitely not as effortless as liquid foundation. It's a drier formula.
- Comfortable to wear, feels pretty light on the skin even the formula is thicker.
- Smells like plastic?or maybe sunscreen?
- If you have super dry/flaky skin, definitely avoid this cuz it will accentuate the dryness (Not that the foundation feels dry).
**what I meant is... if you have dry skin, you probably will be okay as long as you moisturize well cuz this foundation is not drying. But if you have flaky skin to begin with then you will have a problem!**
- Staying power is good!
- I was kind of worried if this foundation was gonna break me out since the formula "feels" thick between my fingers, but it didn't :D
- The sales associate didn't recommend this to me since this foundation is supposed to be hydrating (she said it might be cakey and shiny for oily skin) but to my surprise it's not bad at all :) I mean my nose still looks somewhat shiny at the end of the day... but I've had worse lol
- I think it's a nice and more affordable foundation :)

Product demo... you can just watch the first 2 minutes... I forgot to cut the video down XD

That's all I have for you guys ^__^ Stay well everyone =)

Online store... Are you guys perhaps interested in accessories?

Question I forgot to ask in my last post XD

Are you guys by any chance interested in accessories? Here are some of the stuff I got from Taiwan, some high-end (from department stores ranging from $30-150) and low-end (from street vendors or small stores ranging from $6-$15)
I'm thinking about throwing in some accessories but I'm not sure if you guys would be interested at all?

High-end accessories will be specified, otherwise they are low-end. Just so you guys have an idea of the quality and the pricing.

I used to be really into the gothic look... black and crosses... lol!

Or are you guys perhaps interested in bras/underwear? XD

Photobucket
I have one in pink...  hahhahahahahahahhahaa

Photobucket
The price for these are around $45
Although how am I supposed to sell underwear over the Internet I have no clue XD Maybe I will put up catalogs or something. But I have to say I prefer Asian underwear over Victoria's Secret. Make no mistake VS have beautiful bras but I'm just not that fond of their materials... they tend to be more slippery??? If that makes sense... I feel like my Asian bras have better grip and shape. Plus they are super comfortable and cute XD Let me know if you're interested.....????

Thanks for checking out this post! ^__^ And please do let me know what you think! If you're only interested in makeup/skincare that's okay too just let me know =D

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation Review

Hiya!

How are my bloggies doing out there??? ^__^ I feel like I've been blogging a little bit too often lately XD There are some posts that I really want to finish before I go home, and plus I think I'm just so impatient to go home that I feel like days drag by... so slowly... orz. So I busy myself in blogging to distract myself XD

Today today todayyyy I have Laura Mercier for youuuuuuuu *sings*
Photobucket

Volume: 1.18 fl. oz./35ml
Price: $42

Swatches:
SAM_4693
My shade is "cream ivory"
SAM_4699

SAM_4704

SAM_4705

- I tried like 4 shades at the counter and I ended up matching with cream ivory. But you will see in the video it runs just a tiny bit orange. Nothing too obvious but it does make my face appear more pink (in a healthy way) than neutral. However although it makes my skin looks great, the color of my face slightly mismatches my body XD
- If you have super dry/ flaky skin avoid this, cuz this foundation accentuates the flakiness
- Comfortable to wear, very light-weighted.
- Good coverage. Medium
- One thing I really don't like about this foundation is that it tends to flake if you don't wait for your moisturizer/ primer to completely set.
-  I really like the initial finish, but this foundation's staying power seriously sucks -__- even after setting with powder. Maybe it's just my skin type. At the end of the day I always wonder where did my foundation go... orz (I feel like that for cream foundations in general). The foundation stays well on my dry cheeks, but since I have oily nose that is where my foundation tends to disappear... which isn't cool cuz that's where I need my coverage for my redness lol -__- I think this foundation will be great for people who have dry skin.
- Most definitely not going to buy it cuz the staying power really doesn't cut it for me. lol.

I filmed this when I just woke up so if I look really tired... that's because I was! XD hahaha. And my face is usually even redder in the morning lol

I hope I didn't scare you guys with my morning face XD if I did I'm SORRY!!! XD

Laters!

Candy Doll Marshmallow Purple & Cream Beige Highlighter Review

Hello dear bloggies ^__^

First I wanna say thank you for your feedback regarding the online store =D I will let you guys know the details once I get back to Taiwan ^__^ Right now I'm still busy planning and trying to work out the details. =D

Also, through Thanh's blog, I learned that Lady Gaga is selling "We pray for Japan" wristbands to support Japan. It's only $5 per wrist band ($3.99 shipping) and you're buying for a good cause! So if you're interested please check it out!

Okay, now back to the topic of today's post! ^_^

Remember I got these two because of the mistranslation on JpMon.com so I thought they are blushes? They're actually highlighters.

Cream Beige

Photobucket
opens on the top

the translation said it's blush =___= and on the packaging it says "highlight" on the front = . . =
Photobucket

Super fine powder :D
Photobucket

Photobucket
The effect is ever so subtle :D which I actually really like lol

The purple one shows up better than the cream beige, but I think both looks natural enough. However I do think the purple one makes your face look brighter than the cream beige one.

My thoughts on these products:
- Very natural glow when the light hits, I like!
- I'm very happy with how fine the powder is :)

If you want to go for the PussyCat Doll glow... I advise you to go for MAC Mineralize Skin Finish, which has a lot more obvious effect.

For me, I like to use Candy Doll down the bridge of my nose, and MAC MSF on my cheek bones. Since Candy Doll is very subtle it is perfect for highlighting my nose. If I use MAC MSF on the bridge of my nose I feel like I look too shiny lol!  But on the other hand Candy Doll is really subtle to show up on my cheeks, I like a tiny bit of MAC for better results. I don't usually highlight my cheeks (cuz I already have high cheeks -__-) so it's not a big deal for me XD however I'm not saying if you use Candy Doll on your cheeks it won't show, it will, it's just super subtle.

Since I mentioned MAC's MSF. I thought I'd do a swatch comparison here so you guys can see the difference better ^__^

Photobucket
MAC MSF in "Soft and Gentle" by the way
Photobucket
By the way, I did do a few swipes to build up the intensity so you guys can see it better, if you just apply lightly with a brush it's not gonna make you sparkle XD
 Photobucket
MAC has a lot more sheen, it's very obvious in these pics ^__^
Photobucket
Ah, so pretty... XD haha I do like my highlighters.

So my conclusion is, If you want the effect of very subtle and natural glow, this is great product ^__^ even though I bought them by mistake, I didn't regret having spent money on these :D If you like the PussyCat Doll/ Christina Aguilera glow, try MAC Mineralize Skin Finish :D

A not very helpful product demo cuz it's so subtle that it doesn't show well on the camera XD oh well.

Um... yeah... don't laugh at me, pretty please >< lol!
And sorry about the cussing -__- ....
