Hi hi!
Took me long enough to get this review out LOL. Truth is I kind of forgot about it until I was writing my review on the Too Faced Born this Way foundation lol oh jeez.
There are two Traceless foundations. This is one of them obviously; the other one is called Traceless Perfecting foundation. Review for that one will come later!
Got my shade in Pale Dune to try out.
Looking at this almost reminds me of the YSL Touche Elat foundation. But texture wise it's definitely not like YSL TE. YSL TE is thicker and feels more creamy.
Like I mentioned in the Too Faced Born this Way review, this foundation definitely is on the emollient side.
So emollient that it just glides over the lines on the back of the hand.
Definitely dewy finish. Not just glowy. To me, dewy has that more of a wet/buttery appearance. Glowy to me can be matte/dry glow.
Bare face with Diorsnow as my base.
With Tom Ford Traceless foundation
Applied with fingers. I actually applied two layers on certain parts because the coverage of this foundation is pretty light (Definitely not sheer). This foundation really is emollient aka dream to blend and buildable!
I actually would describe the finish of this foundation "buttery". I feel like the word "dewy" just doesn't cut it. But the buttery finish isn't captured well in those pics. I have better pics later in the post.
Overall effect
Man I look so pissed X'D
After applying the rest of my makeup/foundation had time to set
So I think the above pictures don't really capture the finish of this foundation well. It really made my skin look buttery smooth.
This is closer to real life. Had to move away from sunlight cuz it just wasn't doing this foundation right.
Even closer to real life
See? BUTTERY.
Honestly, I feel like it almost replicates that "wet" finish that was so popular among the Koreans, but even better because it doesn't make your face look paler/white-ish as long as you get a good color match =P
I guess buttery finish can also mean you can look oily... it depends on how you look at it.

Sorry that I was grinning like an idiot in this pic. I had Friends running in the background and I think I was laughing at something while I was trying to photograph lol
I feel like the photos made the foundation look really terrible lol. I don't think it actually looked this bad in person. Probably was the lighting. Or maybe the foundation did look really "worn" but I just didn't realize it LOL. Oh well. Funny thing is I already looked "oily" (or buttery...) to begin with... so even after I got oily... it kind of looks the same hahaha.
But yeah, for the most part it stayed on fine =)
My thoughts on this foundation?
Even though the buttery finish makes my skin look amazing... it's just not really my cup of tea lol. Especially NOT for photography. In photography I just look more greasy more than anything. In person it almost looks like how my foundation would normally look at the end of the day... aka after I've gotten oily. But cleaner and more fresh of course XD I do like the formula... like I keep mentioning over and over again, it's so emollient that it blends wonderfully and just glides over fine lines and pores. Although most foundations these days are super easy to blend anyway so I'm not sure if I would use that as a selling point for this foundation, you know what I mean? But I feel like this might be an amazing foundation for more mature skin. Unless you're super super into that buttery skin finish... or just die hard Tom Ford fan, personally I would take my $80 somewhere else...
Oh by the way, this foundation has a very distinctive scent. Not fragrance... not sure how to describe it. Maybe like raw material/factory smell???? lol. Definitely not digging the smell.
Lastly... comparison swatches between Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation, Tom Ford Traceless Foundation, and Too Faced Born this Way Foundation.
Traceless foundation= Pale Dune
Traceless Perfecting foundation= Fawn
Born this Way foundation= Warm Nude
Tom Ford Traceless perfecting foundation and Too Faced Born this foundation swatches almost look identical here except for the shade differences lol. You can definitely tell the Traceless foundation has a more dewy/buttery finish.
Hope you guys found this review helpful :)
