New Lover-- YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation SPF19 Review

****Update****

Now I have the foundation, thought I'd update this review with some photos :)
Photobucket
Color is in B40. Which looks quite dark in the bottle.

Photobucket
Lol kind of pointless to get a picture of the printings on the bottle since I can't even read the thing in person anyway haha.

============================================================

Hey guys!

So today I have an exciting review for you guys ^_^  By the title you guys all know it's the new YSL foundation-- Le Teint Touche Eclat!

Photobucket

I don't have the full size item yet so I'm putting up this pic from Sephora. But I am sure I will be purchasing this foundation ^_______^ the MUA at Sephora was very generous and gave me a huge sample, so I've been using it for everyday for the last 2 weeks. Still have a lot left =D (I only use a very small amount each time). Since this is a very expensive foundation, I'm gonna wait until there's some kind of promotion/sale at Sephora =D

Before I go into the review, I just wanted to let you guys know when I found out about the launch of the Touche Eclat foundation, I honestly didn't really care about it at all (that's why it took me weeks before I even remember to swatch it in store XD). I genuinely wasn't the slightest interested in this foundation, simply because I do not like the Touche Eclat Radiant Touch pen at all (you might notice I have that on my blog sale... yep. Did not care for it. Used it like 5 times tops).

Why didn't I care for the Touche Eclat Radiant Touch? Because it just doesn't sit well on my face. Every time I wear it I feel like it just sits on top of my face and doesn't meld into my skin. And it always settles into my expression lines. So when I heard "For the first time, the magic light of Touche Éclat is in a foundation" I was like "Meh! Whatevs" XD

So when I finally swatched it at Sephora (the only reason why I remembered to swatch it was because it was sitting right at the front of the store XD) I was very pleasantly surprised. The texture is completely different from the Radiant Touch

Photobucket
My color is Beige 40 (which is neutrally toned). It's a tad light for me so I'm looking to try other shades. But I might just stick with this shade-- nothing a little bit of bronzer can't fix =D

*** Dear friends, lately I've been noticing B40 actually looks a bit red on me... it's not too bad but I can see a difference between my face and neck. No idea why I didn't notice until now I'm already half way through the bottle =_= I will have to rematch myself. But for now I would suggest B30 would probably will be a better match (based on the YSL Youth Liberator shade that I matched myself more recently-- that foundation have the same shade range as Touche Eclat if I'm not mistaken). Updated 9/19/14

So I asked for a sample =D And man, now I'm kind of hooked to this foundation O_O Why am I so sure that I'm gonna be purchasing this foundation? Because I look forward to using it every morning =DDDDD <3 br="">
Now let's see the product in action =D

Yeah woke up one day face was so red =_=
Photobucket

Half side of the face applied with YSL =D
Photobucket
Love love love the radiance and glow it gives >_< absolutely love!!

Photobucket
The foundation is very thin and lightweight, but definitely has enough coverage to even out skin tone and cover blackheads.

Photobucket
Full face applied (used Sigma flat top synthetic kabuki brush)

Photobucket
Compared to the Dior Nude foundation, this one definitely feels lighter (but then again I use less YSL compared to Dior? So with that said YSL might actually have more coverage? Not sure cuz first impression was YSL has less coverage). In my opinion, this foundation is an even "nuder" foundation than Dior. Looks really really natural :)

Photobucket
Full face effect. Sorry about the hair in my face, didn't notice it when I took the pics... yes annoying I know lol.
Photobucket

Aside from the gorgeous finish it gives, what really sells me to this foundation is the wear. It wears so well on my skin, with or without powder. Amazing!

So this was applied on another day.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Freshly applied.

Photobucket
This was 4 hours after. You can see a bit of shine on the nose but it still looks dewy rather than oily.
Photobucket

Photobucket

And after 8 hours
Photobucket
Yep aside from the obvious shine on my nose where I get super oily, the foundation remained on my face without moving =D by the way I did not set the foundation with powder in these pics. I feel like this foundation melds into your skin even more when you get oily =D And please bare in mind I took this last pic directly under a light source to get a detailed photography, so it does make my face appear very shiny, in person it actually doesn't even look that shiny ^_~

So in conclusion, I'm in love with this foundation! Cannot wait for the day when I get my hands on the full size bottle. For now, this has definitely become my Holy Grail for a dewy finish foundation =D I don't have product demo videos for now but don't worry! Will definitely feature this foundation in future videos =)

By the way, just wanted to quickly throw my thoughts on the comparison between YSL Touche Eclat foundation and Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation: the initial finishes are similar-- both foundations give really nice and glowy finish. However, the YSL definitely sits better on my combination skin. I'd say if you have dry/normal skin you can probably go for Bourjois. But to me the two foundations are very different.

That's all I have! Hope you guys found this review helpful ^_^
Have a great week guys!

FOTD-- Easy Date Night Look

Hi guys!

Photobucket

I have an easy date night look for you guys :D this look is actually inspired by the Revlon Lip Butter in "Berry Smoothie." I have been OBSESSED with this lipstick! I've used this lipstick probably as much as Tutti Frutti, which is another color I've been obsessed with. Lol!

For some reason, the moment I put on the Berry Smoothie lipstick, I instantly feel so... elegant??? I feel like this lip color does transform a simple everyday eye look to a more sophisticated, classy one. I highly recommend ^___^

Products used:
1. SK-II Cellumination Essence-in Foundation in #420 (I was using the sponge that comes with it)
2. Avene Thermal Spring Water (you can just use water or any other facial mists you own)
3. K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner (upper lash line)
4. Loreal Infallible Eye Shadow in #890 Bronzed Taupe
5. Highlighter from IPSA Face Color Palette in #201
6. MAC Liquidlast eyeliner in Point Black
7. Majolica Majorca pencil eyeliner in BR677 (it's a reddish, brown with gold shimmers, almost like a bronze color)
8. Majolica Majorca Lash Bone Black Fiber In (mascara primer)
9. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Medium Ash/Medium Brown
10. Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On (mascara)
11. Etude House Lovely Cookie Blush in #2 Strawberry Choux (been obsessed and using non-stop haha)
12. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 050 Berry Smoothie
13. Canmake Shading Powder (contour)

I'm sure you see it coming... camwhore time!!!! XD

Recent Haul-- Revlon, Wet n Wild, Makeup Geek!

Hi guys!

How's everyone doing? Am I posting a bit too frequently? XD Blogging is my distraction from my school work T_T (you can tell somebody desperately needs a distraction... ) Anyway! I've got a haul to share with you guys =D

This is my third time purchasing from a youtuber! From the lovely Marlena, MakeupGeekTV =)
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

I've been watching Marlena for quite a while now. I was very happy for her when she came out with her own makeup line :) however her products never really interested me until now! I've always wanted a light yellow gold eyeliner and "treasure" just looks perfect. Also picked up a teal and navy blue color because they look so gorgeous. Will be testing these out :D

Next... I went crazy at Walgreens XD
Photobucket
Minus the YSL Touche Eclat foundation sample I got from Sephora I got prior to my trip to Walgreens :D I will have swatches up and maybe a mini review depending on how much I use it.

Anyway I've been wearing makeup consistently for the last 5 years, but I never got into lip products till this year. Simply because before I really hated how lipsticks/lip glosses feel. But after hoarding so many lip products without using them, I decided to force myself to start using them. Man now I'm just hooked O_O My lips are really used to lipsticks now and don't really have peeling problems anymore... even without wearing a lip balm underneath. So weird! But anyway now I always feel like I look dead without some sort of lip color XD

Got these lip products from Wet n Wild... I think they're $1.25 each O_O I was like seriously?!?!?!?!?!?? My mind is blown away by how cheap they are!
Photobucket
So far I've only used the Nude color and I LOVE it. So so so glad I picked this up. Finally found the perfect nude! They aren't the most moisturizing but I don't feel like they dry out my lips either.

The pigmentation is simply amazing
Photobucket
From left to right: 902C Bare it All, 966 Don't Blink Pink, 970 Purty Persimmon, 965 Cherry Picking, 905D  Smokin' Hot Pink

Photobucket
When I wore Bare it All, it really dries down and stays put on my lips. It barely transfers, which is VERY impressive! I would imagine all these lipsticks are very long-wearing.

Photobucket
By the way these colors do leave your lips stained.

Been wanting a red nail polish for a while. Found the perfect color ^_^ It actually is a true blood red but it came across the camera as a brighter red. The red looks deeper in person
Photobucket
Essie in 924 head mistress. This is my second Essie nail polish and I'm quite pleased with its performance. The other one I have which is 688 Chinchilly is kind of thick and hard to apply evenly.

Lastly I got some Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
Photobucket

Photobucket
On the left: 020 Lovesick Passionnee. Right: 005 Crush Beguin.

They seem quite sheer on the back of my hands but the color pay off is really strong on the lips, so do keep that in mind ^_^

This is my first time using a lip stain and I'm not sure how I feel about them lol. Because I found that if I'm not careful I would stain the outside of my lips as well O_O so I guess I have to make sure I'm really precise with my application. Between the two I like Lovesick better because I can feel the little glitters/shimmers in Crush? Not sure if there are any but I can feel something there. Oh by the way these have a minty taste/smell to them.

Overall for these Revlon stain balms... I don't really care for them. They do feel nice but I much prefer the lip butters =D
updated: I changed my mind XD now I LOVE the lip stains! more than the lip butters. Lip butters can get on my teeth but lip stains don't hehe. Check here for my update ^_^

That's all I have! Hope you guys had a happy Monday :D Have a great week ^_^

Daring Autumn Look

Hi guys!

Photobucket

Lately I've been venturing out for darker lip colors ;)  I usually stay away from those so-called very vampy, gothic colors, but now I'm kind of into it XD (inspired by a youtuber who I discovered lately but I will share that later :D)  definitely a very bold look, but I've worn it out and I love it XD I feel so "fall" and "autumn-ish" when I wear this look :D (although the weather is still so hot here... )

Can't believe how many videos I've already made so far! Actually there haven't been many XD but for someone who rarely creates makeup "tutorials"... lol. Just have had more inspiration lately :D

Please watch in HD!

Products used:
1. bareMinerals Prime Time eyelid primer
2. Urban Decay NAKED palette "Virgin" eye shadow (highlight)
3. Urban Decay NAKED palette "Smog" eye shadow (bronze color over the half of the eyelid)
4. Urban Decay NAKED palette "Darkhorse" eye shadow (greenish bronze on the outer corner)
5. Urban Decay NAKED palette "Creep" eye shadow (black for intensifying)
6. Urban Decay NAKED palette "Naked" eye shadow (light tan/nude color for blending)
7. K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner (upper lash line)
8. MAC Liquidlast eyeliner (for entire eyeliner)
9. Majolica Majorca Lash Bone Black Fiber In (mascara primer)
10. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Medium Ash/Medium Brown
11. Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On (mascara)
12. Urban Decay NAKED palette "Half Baked" eye shadow (gold color on inner corner/lower lash line)
13. MAC lipstick in "Media" satin finish (dark plum color)
14. Canmake Shading Powder (for cheek color and contour)

And I know you're expecting them... yep yep here they are XD
Photobucket
This will be most representative of how I would dress if I wore this look out (actually this was exactly how I dressed XD went out after making the tutorial). I'm not a trendy person and tend to be very basic, easy and casual with my outfits.

Photobucket

Photobucket
glam it up by simply adding a necklace

Photobucket
it's still too hot here for me to layer up like this. But can't wait until it gets colder so I can whip out my beanies and cardigans and jackets!
