Hello dear bloggies ^__^
First I wanna say thank you for your feedback regarding the online store =D I will let you guys know the details once I get back to Taiwan ^__^ Right now I'm still busy planning and trying to work out the details. =D
Also, through Thanh's blog, I learned that Lady Gaga is selling "We pray for Japan" wristbands to support Japan. It's only $5 per wrist band ($3.99 shipping) and you're buying for a good cause! So if you're interested please check it out!
Okay, now back to the topic of today's post! ^_^
Remember I got these two because of the mistranslation on JpMon.com so I thought they are blushes? They're actually highlighters.
Cream Beige
opens on the top
the translation said it's blush =___= and on the packaging it says "highlight" on the front = . . =
Super fine powder :D
The effect is ever so subtle :D which I actually really like lol
Marshmallow Purple
The purple one shows up better than the cream beige, but I think both looks natural enough. However I do think the purple one makes your face look brighter than the cream beige one.
My thoughts on these products:
- Very natural glow when the light hits, I like!
- I'm very happy with how fine the powder is :)
If you want to go for the PussyCat Doll glow... I advise you to go for MAC Mineralize Skin Finish, which has a lot more obvious effect.
For me, I like to use Candy Doll down the bridge of my nose, and MAC MSF on my cheek bones. Since Candy Doll is very subtle it is perfect for highlighting my nose. If I use MAC MSF on the bridge of my nose I feel like I look too shiny lol! But on the other hand Candy Doll is really subtle to show up on my cheeks, I like a tiny bit of MAC for better results. I don't usually highlight my cheeks (cuz I already have high cheeks -__-) so it's not a big deal for me XD however I'm not saying if you use Candy Doll on your cheeks it won't show, it will, it's just super subtle.
Since I mentioned MAC's MSF. I thought I'd do a swatch comparison here so you guys can see the difference better ^__^
MAC MSF in "Soft and Gentle" by the way
By the way, I did do a few swipes to build up the intensity so you guys can see it better, if you just apply lightly with a brush it's not gonna make you sparkle XD
MAC has a lot more sheen, it's very obvious in these pics ^__^
Ah, so pretty... XD haha I do like my highlighters.
So my conclusion is, If you want the effect of very subtle and natural glow, this is great product ^__^ even though I bought them by mistake, I didn't regret having spent money on these :D If you like the PussyCat Doll/ Christina Aguilera glow, try MAC Mineralize Skin Finish :D
A not very helpful product demo cuz it's so subtle that it doesn't show well on the camera XD oh well.
Um... yeah... don't laugh at me, pretty please >< lol!
And sorry about the cussing -__- ....

These look really nice! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like my type of highlighter! I haven't bought too many high lighters yet. Only have the benefit one and a part of my MSF from a recent mac purchase. I wish asian products were more easily accessible in the states..
ReplyDeleteIt didn't show up that well in the video, but judging from the pictures it looks soo natural! :D
Awesome! I think I need to get these products. I have their blushes already and I am in love! <3
ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable btw! xD
I can't decide if I want the cream one or the violet one. :x
